![]() ![]() Reading knowledge covers: comprehension/understanding of short and mid-length paragraphs, and retrieving information. Grammar knowledge covers: grammar forms, sentence composition, text grammar. Vocabulary knowledge covers: kanji reading, vocabulary spelling, using the correct word in context, and paraphrases (they give you an example word and you select the word that means the same thing). Language Knowledge(Grammar)・Reading 〈50min〉 There are 3 papers, one that covers your knowledge of vocabulary (25mins), one that covers grammar and reading (50mins) and a listening exam (30mins). There are NO speaking or writing sections. In the exam the questions are ALL multiple choice. So first of all I’m going to explain, for those who don’t know, how the test is broken down and how it’s graded at the end. Which to be honest is NOT very helpful if you want to know what you actually need to know. ・One is able to listen and comprehend conversations about topics regularly encountered in daily life and classroom situations, and is able to pick up necessary information from short conversations spoken slowly. ![]() ・One is able to read and understand typical expressions and sentences written in hiragana, katakana, and basic kanji.The ability to understand some basic Japanese. ![]()
